Hello Babies

One of the ladies on the island is a new grandmother to twins, so I made her this card.
I used the new Baby Brooke stamp set from Sparkle n Sprinkle and Bubblegum EP. The cardstock is the new Razzleberry from SU and Pretty in Pink...love those colors together. The white is the retired Designer Paper from SU. The Congratulations came from the Sale-a-Bration set.

So I started a new photo project this month. Becky Higgins calls it Project 365. You take a picture every day of something that tells about you and who you are, and what you are doing. I like this idea because so many times we only take pictures of special events and leave the every day life alone. This captures the real living. I am having so much fun with it, and I found alot of other blogs that are doing the same thing. Here is one of my pictures. Lexy recently got her drivers permit and I took her out driving.

Have a great weekend:)

Nature's Nest

I'm sooooo glad it's Friday! This was the first week back to school and it's been a long one!
I think the first stamp set that I liked when I got the new catty was Nature's Nest. So this is the first card I made with it. I had some samples of the core-dimensions cardstock that I ran through the Cuttlebug and then sanded. The turtle is just stamped with Handsome Hunter, then layered on the same and Choc. Chip. The card base is Sage Shadow.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Birthday Wishes

Well, last weeks card was for my niece, and so is this one:) It's her birthday today! She was here last week playing and made some Polished Stone cardstock that I used with my new Lattice Sizzix Die from SU. It's soooo pretty! I cut one lattice in half and glued them to make the strip. The brads in the middle help pull out the gold in the Polished Stone. It's layered on a piece of white cardstock that I embossed with Gold Tinsel EP from Sparkle n Sprinkle.
Tiphani had liked the birds that I made with the melting pot so I thought I'd make her one. I started with embossing cardstock with the Gold Tinsel, then I used the stipple brush with Versamark and added some Native American. Then I put about 4 coats of Thick Clear on top of that. I inked up the Script background with Gold Encore ink and stamped into the hot ep for some texture. The eye is a rhinestone.
I used the swirl from Baroque Motifs with Bermuda Bay ink. The card base is also Bermuda Bay (I love that color!)

Thanks for looking:)

Tri Shutter Graduation

Hi Stampers,

I know it has been a while since I posted. I had just decided that I needed to take a break from everything, so I did:) It's been a good summer, and I've enjoyed my time. As soon as school gets back in I hope to get back to the old routine.
But I had to share this card I made with you this week. My niece just graduated with her AA and I am so proud of her. She loves to stamp and create as well (I've posted some of her stuff here) and I wanted to make something special for her. I decided I didn't want a typical graduation card, but something that she can set out for a while. This was the Technique on Splitcoast last week, so I used it. I love the flowers and plan on making more!

Hope you are all enjoying your summer as well:)
