A Glowing Wish

Here another glow in the dark card.  This time I used the Milky Way stamp and the Shooting Star.  I think any kid would love to get one of these cards...whether the kid is young or old.
Jim and I went out for a bike ride today...the first day it actually hit the 80's!  It was beautiful.  We started out at a county park that has several miles of trails.
We could see the Skyway Bridge from the end of the trail.  There were a lot of boats out on the water, even though the water is still pretty chilly.
And I always have to stop to take the pictures of the flowers.  This was a tree that was in bloom where we stopped to take a break.

Glow in the Dark!!

WOW!!  Is this a fun new product...Glow in the Dark embossing powder!  We just got it in at Sparkle N Sprinkle and I couldn't wait to play with it, so I grabbed the first stamp that was on my desk.  I stamped it with Versamark and embossed it with the new powder and then used a dauber over it to make it more visible in the light.  Then I took it in the utility room and boy does it glow!!  It is so bright and clear!  I can't wait to play with it some more...maybe secret messages on a kids card...a starry night....what ideas can you come up with!
It took me a while to get a picture of it, but with the help of my daughter I finally got it.  You just have to get some of this stuff!!!  Check it out here.

This is one of the first stamps that I bought when I first started stamping 6 years ago and every spring when I see the robins I need to get it out.  This year I took a different approach with it and cut out the robin after coloring it with Primsacolor Pencils and gamsol, and put it on with dimensionals.  I embossed the bottom half onto the Sweet Pea cardstock with Teddy Brown EP.  For the background I used the SU Floral background and embossed it on Pretty in Pink with Princess Rose EP.  I used Soft Suede as my card base, and finished it off with and organdy bow that I ruffled by putting the heat gun to it.
Supplies Used:
Stamp from Anita's
Cardstock:  Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede from Stampin' Up!  Sweet Pea from Cardstock Warehouse
Misc:  Ribbon, Nestibilities, & Corner Punch

I was at the vegetable stand earlier this week and they had these beautiful mums....and mums are one of my favorite flowers.  I haven't seen this variety before, I had the tag with the name but the cats knocked it off the table and the dog chew it up....so I don't know the name!  Darn:)

Happy Spring & Happy Stamping,

Out of this World!

I've been thinking of this card for a while....with all the new beautiful Sparkle N Soft colors!  I thought this stamp of Eyes would be perfect.  I first colored the image with my Copics then used the Brushable Glue and added the respective colors of Sparkle N Soft.  The Sparkling Sea is a perfect match for SU's Bermuda Bay cardstock, that I used for the base of the card.  I added the glue over the eyes and the nose as well to make them shine.   I used the Sketch challenge from Splitcoast for the layout.  I miss not participating in the challenges lately.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping,
Jill

Spring Seeds

I love the Garden Fairies from Sparkle N Sprinkle, if you haven't noticed by now:) As soon as I saw all these cute garden images I thought of making some kind of gift for some seed packets. I made this cute gift package from cardstock and ribbon. I used a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock and scored it to fit around the seed packet. To make the slider, punch a whole in the top and cut a piece of ribbon that fits around the seed packet; feed the ribbon through both the front and back pieces of the cardstock; place the seeds on top of the ribbon and push the ribbon and seed down to the inside of the card and tie on top. The seeds will slide inside the card and pull up with the ribbon.
Watch for this technique to come up on a Video Kit Club soon:)

This chest is one that my brother-in-law made special just for me...see it even has my name on it! It is so beautiful and he made it all by hand. I have all my scrapbook memories stored inside it.

Happy Stamping,
Jill

Happy St Patty's Day

Since green is my favorite color, it's only fitting that I like St Patty's Day cards! I am Irish, by the way, so even more fitting:) Here is a card I made with the Irish Sparkle, Sparkle N Soft. I stamped with Versamark on Gable Green cardstock and embossed with Stickum Powder, and then sprinkled the Irish Sparkle on. I worked with only one shamrock at a time because the Stickum Powder needs to be hot to hold the Sparkle n Soft. The diaper bag pouch was a technique over on Splitcoast. I just filled it with some green baubles. The shamrock in the front is an Acrylic Inchie on Silver Mirror cardstock.

To can see the full directions to the card here.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping,

Apple Red Flower Medallion

I have been thinking of this card for quite a while now and I got my new Nestibilities and this die was perfect for the layout I had in mine. I wanted to emboss this Flower Medallion from Sparkle N Sprinkle in Apple Red embossing powder on this light blue cardstock that I had in my left over stash. I then cut it out with the Nestibilitie and cut the bottom part off and layered it on a red sparkle cardstock and embossed the sentiment with Native American embossing powder. I added three oblong rhinestones on the bottom to bling it up! I thought of my mom with this verse, so it became a card for her:) My mom came home from the hospital this week after having a total hip replacement. She has been in so much pain, and has been through so much with the cancer and chemo. After this last surgery she has been sooooo happy because all the pain from the hip is gone! It just dissappeared! It's amazing....she's up walking for the first time in 6 months! She called me the other night sooooo HAPPY that she was home and not hurting and I thought this card just fit perfectly.
So thanks for lookings, and

Happy Stamping,

CHA Innvoation Products

I don't think I ever shared this creation with you. I made the ensemble for the Innovative Products at CHA. I use our new Sparkle N Soft in several different projects to show it's soft sparkly beauty! I made the scrapbook page using several different methods, super adhesive sheets, & chipboard. For the card on the right I used the Brushable Glue and the one on the left was Sticker Paper. I think the topiary is my favorite of all the projects. I used a Styrofoam ball and punched the flowers out of sticker paper using the 5 petal punch from Stampin Up, then used the rhinestones to stick them to the ball. The leaves are just the same flower punch that I cut one petal off for a leave and glued them on. For the greenery on the bottom of the topiary I used Flower Soft.

Hope you enjoy,
Thanks for looking,

Jill
