Copic Bleed Dog

Happy Monday Stampers,
What a great weekend at Stampfest. It was a great crowd and I always love demoing at the show and seeing friends and meeting new ones! Today I'm going to share another Copic Bleed card. I colored the base with my Copics then dropped drops of the Colorless Blender on it to create the spots. I think it goes with this image perfect since the dog is shaking water! Then I embossed Wet N Wild (the dog) with Teddy Brown embossing powder. The sentiment is embossed as well. For the background of the card and heart on the tag I used stamps from Daddy's Little Girl stamp set.

Spring Fling Blog Hop

This is a brand new stamp set that was just revealed last week...it's called Celebrate Life....It is a great spring or Easter set and the images are so much fun to color and flock...I love soft bunnies, chicks and lambs!!
I stamped the image on Ivory Neenah first to give it a softer look than white and colored with Copics. Then I used Brushable Glue and added a bit of Sparkle N Soft to the chicks and bunny...then glitter to the flowers and butterflies.
I embossed the sentiment with Sangria embossing powder. Here are some close up looks at the details.

Gatefold Hummingbird

This is the Video Kit Club card for February. It features the new Hummingbirds & Flowers stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I colored with my Copics, then used the Penboss pen and colored them over and embossed them with Sparkle EP. It's done with the ivory base....I'm lovin' the soft look of this paper and ivory!

Goofy & the Everglades

Happy Monday Stampers,
This is just a quick simple card I did last week with one of the cat stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle...his name is Goofy an the Meow and Paw Print are from the same set, I embossed him with Black Detail EP. The mouse that I used in the background was embossed with Petal Pink EP.

Now on to our weekend in the Everglades. Jim & I had a great time biking and couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! We biked Shark Valley trail the first day, it's a 15 mile loop trail with so much wildlife along the way. The gators are every where and there are all kinds of birds. Then we went to Flamingo and camped the night and went biking on Saturday. It was a great little trip...next time we will have to stay longer:)

Stained Glass Sympathy

I stampers, I had cut out several of these cards and had several to make and mail out this week. Unfortuntely I've needed a lot of sympathy cards lately. The Stained Glass Rounds from Sparkle N Sprinkle is one of the sets I always grab for when I need a sympathy and since it was round it fit the card perfect. I kept the rest of the card pretty simple. I colored with Copics and then covered it with Versamark and Sparkle Embossing Powder. They sentiment was embossed with Moss Embossing Powder.
My husband and I are getting ready to go down to Flamingo, in the Everglades this weekend. I'm looking forward to taking some good nature photos, so I will share some of those pictures with you next week.
But until then I went out today to photograph this Kapok tree that is one of my favorite blooming trees because it blooms so early.

Butterfly Hellos

Hi Stampers, Since I was working on so many different cut files for card cuts recently I made this Half Circle Flip Cut File also. I also made a cut for the bib that goes on the front. I decided to use my Fancy Butterflies stamp set for this one and stamped one on cardstock and colored it with Copics....then stamped another one on Vellum Cardstock and embossed it with Concord Star EP.
I think this is going to be a fun card fold:) Thinking of more ways to use it! Here's a look from another angle.

I chose to do Valentine cards for the hop and I just got done making a Cut File for this Diorama card and had to use it. It was a lot of fun putting all the layers together. You can find all the details here. What a great way to display your cards for months to come!!

I was going to stop at one card, but this idea for the pink Leo had been in my creative mind for a while so I had to try it too:) But only this time I used the Spellbinders Hearts to cut out the center shapes instead of the octagon. I love adding the Dimensional Glue to Leo's mane and covering it with Flocking and this time was no exception...I covered it with Cherry Sparkle, Sparkle N Soft! Speedy Recovery

Hi Stampers,
I just can't get enough of coloring these cute Christian Girls! This time I cut out the layer piece on Sticker Paper with the Lacey Circle Spellbinders and placed Eve in the middle of it and covered the remaining sticker with Bronze Glitter to add a sparkly border. I did the same with the sentiment, but emboss it with Sangria EP.

Kitty Birthday

This is the birthday card that I made for my daughters' 22nd birthday. She has two cats so I thought this fit the bill. I used the Double Dutch fold again from Splitcoast and I stamped the image of the cats, from Sparkle N Sprinkle, with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with my Copics, E30, E33, E35 & E37 and W1, W3, W5 & W7. Then I used Brushable Glue and flocked the spots with Dark Chocolate & Elephant Gray.

For the sentiment on the bottom of the card and inside I used the Happy Birthday set and embossed them with Pear Star. Then stamped and colored another cat from the set on the inside as well.

Reveal Day!

Hi Stampers, Today is reveal day for Sparkle N Sprinkles new Hummingbird stamp sets that I've been giving you peeks at! Aren't they just gorgeous!! And with the new Tuscany Embossing Powders they are just stunning.

Here is another card that I made the other day. I only used a portion of the Hummingbird Party stamp. The hummingbirds are just so much fun to color with the Copics! It's so easy to get such vibrant and bright colors with them, and with hummingbirds coming in almost all colors you can't go wrong. Then to make the hummingbirds stand out more I colored with the Penboss and embossed them with Sparkle Embossing Powder. For the single hummingbird I cut him out and put him on dimensional tape. The sentiment is embossed with Sangria.

The hummer on the inside in embossed with the Sangria Star that has the sparkle to it.

Now I'm off to see what the other designers have done with the stamps:)

Another Sneak Peek

Hi Stampers,
Happy Monday....today I want to share another sneak peak at the new sets that will be revealed on Wednesday at Sparkle N Sprinkle! They are awesome sets as you can tell...I so enjoyed playing again with them. I have this K&Co paper that is grays and blues with ivory cream base instead of white and I just love the softness that it gave my card. I also used the Splitcoasts Double Dutch technique for the card. I stamped with brown Memento and colored with my Copics, but then I also used the Penboss embossing pen and colored just the flower and the bird and embossed them with Sparkle Embossing Powder to give them some more sparkle and pizzazz.

Her is the inside of the card with a portion of another stamp in the set. Wait til you see the whole set! You are going to love them I tell you:) And with the Tuscany Mediterranean Embossing Powders....ummmmm beautiful!

Here is a close up with the sparkle. The bird is cut out and put on dimensional tape.

80th Birthday

Happy Friday Stampers,
This week I went to a friends 80th birthday party...it was a surprise party and she was really surprised! The theme of the party was "You Light Up My Life" and the gifts we to be candles. So I made a tag for my candle using Friendship Wings embossed with the new Sangria EP, and this angel which I thought fit perfectly. I put it on the Ivory Neenah and it just softens up the whole look of the card.

Wine Pocket Card

Every month I make a Video Kit Club video featuring Sparkle N Sprinkle supplies and a technique. You get enough supplies to create 5 of the card....that includes the cardstock cut and scored, stamps, any embossing powders and/or glitters. This month I used our new wine stampette set Chianti. I am really having a lot of fun coloring these images and adding the sparkle.

The Scrapbook Page

I took some family pictures of some friends from church and finally got around to making the scrapbook page. I am making all new pages for the Sparkle n Sprinkle booth at show next year. I really like the way it came out with the roses done in the cracked ice technique and antiqued. The pictures were for Christmas and I didn't want the page to look Christmassy... I think it looks vintage.

A Year In Review

Hi All....and Happy New Year.
I am participating in Karin's Blog Hop, A Year in Review, where I get to pick out my top 12 favorite cards of the year (one from each month). So here we go....


January - Love the background of the music showing through the violin


February - Again the background Versa resist, then dry embossed and heat embossed!


March - Love the colors of the Summer Essential embossing powders with the Summer Swirl Stamp Set.


April - Love the Fun Fold and that Rose Creations with the Crystallized Sugar Glitter technique!! (and it's green:)

May - the layout and the pointillism with the Copics is why this one is my favorite.


June - a nice peaceful card that reminds me of the Keys.


July - Coloring with Copics and learning different techniques.

August - Playing with my new Pazzles and creating a new Cut File with a plaque frame.

September - Again the Pazzles making a shaped card and the Cut File, also like the fall coloring on the butterflies.

October - The three layers of the ornament really make this card pop, along with the Fun Fold and glitter!

November - Again the dimension, the fold and I just love the color combo and those new Tuscany Embossing Powders.

December - Remembering our summer trip to California and the wine country...the background and the coloring:)

After going through the year I realized that I have really been focusing on my coloring with Copics and on creating backgrounds. I hope you have enjoyed this walk down memory lane as much as I have. All the stamps and supplies can be found at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Sharing Life's Little Pleasures

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas full of joy and happiness and time spent with family and friends. I know I did!
I couldn't wait to do another background paper with the new Wine Tableau set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I did the Faux Bleach again, this time in all greens. I used Lettuce, Meadow and Silver Adirondack alcohol inks. Then for the embossed images of the Grape Vines I used Pear Star, which was really to subtle and you can't really see it except the glitter that sparkles:) Here is a close up of the background.

I stamped the main image with Memento on Neenah cardstock and colored with my Copics. I am really pleased with the way it came out. I added some Green Iris glitter to the grapes and Crystal Lacquer to the moon.

I had a piece of the background paper left so I made another tag for the wine bottle.

February 14th!

I know it's Christmas but I have to share my new Valentine stamps I have at Sparkle N Sprinkle! There are 2 stampette sets. The first one is Heart Wings and the second one is Happy Hearts

This card and basket set is a class I'm going to be teaching also at the store. Again even with Valentines I'm lovin' the Tuscany Embossing Powders!! They just can be beat!! I'm also loving the Faux Bleaching technique to make all these beautiful background papers!

Sharing a Glass of Wine

Hi Stampers,
I have been so busy with the holidays I haven't had time to post my creations, but I will try to get them up over the next several days. Sparkle N Sprinkle is coming out with several new stamp sets and I've had some fun playing. The first set I want to share are two wine sets.


Wine Tableau a full size stamp set

Chianti a stampette set

Since we just went to California (wine country) for the first time this year I am really enjoying this set...plus I like to have a glass of wine with friends and gift bottles as gifts and this makes the opportunity for it. I used both sets for my gift combo. I also used the new Tuscany Embossing Powders that are my all time favorite embossing powders!! They are fabulous. I chose to use Moss and Sangria for my combo.

For the background I did a polished stone technique then stamped the grapes and leaves.

I really like how the Tuscany ep's work on dark cardstock as well as the white.

Tim Holtz Inspired

Happy Wednesday Stampers,
I wanted to get this card up earlier in the week but am just getting to it. I was sitting at my computer Saturday morning and wanted to create something with my Pazzles, but what?? I was looking at all the new posts for the Tim Holtz 12 Days of Christmas Tags and was inspired by the first two. I don't have any of his dies so set to work creating something in Pazzles. I love the way the Noel came out and on the swirl as well. I covered it in the new Cayenne Star Embossing Powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I also created the Spiral Pinecone file and the Holly leaves....then I needed a different bottom border and created that. The pinecone has White Crackle paint on it to look like it's snow covered. The card ended up taking all day with creating the cut file, but I learned a lot on my Pazzle software and how to create. For the background of the card I Versamarked the Snowflake embossing folder, then covered it with Winter White EP and brushed off the excess from the tops of the dry embossed sections and then heated. The ribbon was also colored with Copics. Of course since I started out wanting to make a card and ending up with what was suppose to be a tag, I had to alter a bit and ended up with the large tag on an easel card.

Lacy Lily

Hi Stampers,
Here is another of the Water Lilies from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used the Cut File for it and colored with Copics V12,V15 & V17 and highlighted the image with Lemonade & Lavendar Iris Glitters. For the background this time I did a lace technique with Waterfall & Blue Lightenening Glitters. It looks like a pebble tossed in the water and it made rings. I added the damsel fly this time instead of the sentiment.

I hope everyone gets their favorite dishes and yummy turkey!! I made a new pie this year...Pumpkin, Coconut & Pecan Pie....looks delicious!!
Today was time for another free Medallion SVG over at Sparkle N Sprinkle and I colored it this week. I cut out all four layers and colored them with my Copics, then embossed them all with Sparkle embossing powder so they have a pretty overall sparkle! I also used 2 of the new embossing powders that will be revealed mid December...and if you haven't noticed by now I am lovin' em!!! This time I used Pear Star and Cerulean, the Pear Star is sparkly and the Cerulean is matte. I made the card into a Double Display card and used a scallop border on the front edges.

This is the card pretty much closed. It is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.

Another Medallion

This week over at Sparkle N Sprinkle they are giving away the SVG file for this Lacy Medallion stamp. If you are interested in the free SVG file just email margaret@sparklensprinkle.com and let her know. The SVG has 5 layers, but instead of stacking them all I stamped the whole stamp on the mail layer and then 2 layers on top of that then put the top two layers off to the side. I actually had laid all the layers out in a pattern and it looked rather cool...will have to try that on a scrapbook page or something:) I also used the new Shades of Tuscany embossing powders (they will be revealed soon!) that are so totally awesome! I love the matte look and the fine detail of the powders.

Snowflake Medallion

I stampers, I made this beautiful sparkly Snowflake Medallion using the new Cutting Edge File from Sparkle N Sprinkle, and this week it is free! It makes cutting out all those layers sooooo easy!! And I love the fact that all those little holes are cut out to give it even more detail. Then I embossed them with Silver Lightening and layered it on Silver Mirror Card stock and wow...it really sparkles. When you use mirror card stock it just reflexes all the sparkles!

Inspiration Is All Around Us!

I am always amazed when I see something that I like, in nature, clothes, or in this case in packaging, and I create something using the same idea. I had these hotel soaps and lotion and loved the green packaging with the teal image, I also liked the simplicity of the layout. At Sparkle N Sprinkle I was given some new embossing powders to try out and I'm telling you that I absolutely love them and know you will to. They are flat and not glossy and look stunning on the colored cardstock.
I cut out the medallion and put it on with dimensional so it has a little depth.

Nestle in for Christmas

Happy Monday Stampers,
I love Mondays because it's Try a New Technique over on Splitcoast and it is my favorite challenge of the week! This week it's Telescoping Image. I love this bird from Sparkle N Sprinkle and I decided to use it because it is a large image and had a lot of detail. I also had just finished making a Cut File for this Fun Fold and had one laying on my desk and it fit rather well on the card so wha la! (if you have a Pazzles Electronic Cutting Machine and would like the cut file for the card fold just let me know and I will forward it to you:) I love it when things flow so easily:) The designer paper was from scraps left over. I added glitter for some sparkly goodness, but it didn't show up very well.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Hi Stampers,
Yesterday I watched by 6 year old nephew and he loves to craft. He was sitting in the craft room and said it was like sitting in an "Art Castle". I had some canvases and he wanted to paint so he did his and I had another idea in mind. I had seen this idea on Pintrest and thought of my daughter who loves rainbows and the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, so I added the title with the Pazzles, then hot glued the crayons down and hit them with the heat gun! How much fun we had watching all the crayons melt and run. Then since blue birds fly over the rainbow I used a Sizzix die and cut out a bird and wings and hung him over the rainbow with some wire.
This was a great project to do with my nephew! He had a hard time giving up the crayons though to put on the canvas, since I told him he could have what was left over:)

Here is a look at Ben's picture....he loves glitter so I added the glue and he very carefully and meticulously added spoonfuls of glitter.

Casey Goes Fishing

Sparkle N Sprinkle has a new stamp set of Casey and his adventures and I just love them. This is my favorite, since my husband is a fisherman. I think they are fun to color with my Copics as well. For the background I did the Copic Color Bleed. For the striped background I actually used 1/8" Tear-ific Tape and used flocking on the stripes to give it a fuzzy feel:)
I made this card for a fishing buddy of my husbands who just had back surgery. The sentiment that I stamped on the inside of the card is "Hope your "Koala"ty" of life get better soon"...how cute.

Sparkly Flamingo

Hi Stampers,
I had so much fun making the previous snowman card that I had to use another new color glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Pretty Princess. I did the same technique of Glitter Lace for the background and used the Waterscape for my first glitter, then the Pretty Princess. The flamingo is on the same stamp set as the snowman and colored with Copics. I added Sparkle Embossing Powder to the ornament and lights, then for the hat I added Snow White Flock with Brushable Glue.

I also had this image of Sue that I colored a while ago laying on my desk and decided to make a bookmark with it.

Florida Beach Christmas

Wow! What a fun challenge on Splitcoast this week. This is the Side Spring Card and it really looks nice! I used the new Florida Beach & Waterscape Glitters from Sparkle N Sprinkle and they are totally awesome!!! Florida Beach is so absolutely sparkly and with the glitter lace background the whole card just really sparkles! I also used it on the At the Beach snowman. The sentiment is actually embossed directly on the Glitter Lace background and picked up the glitter and looks great!

I saw in the Pazzles Craftroom where they made popped up borders and had to try it with one of our smaller stamps. I really like the way it came out. I've done this technique before but with an exacto knife...this was way easier!! I embossed the butterflies with By the Lake and dyed my ribbon with YR04. The sentiment is actually from one of the new Christmas Stampette Sets. All supplies can be found at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Altered Clipboard

I love it when you have an idea but it's not quite complete of where you want to go and as you create the next step just keeps coming and it all flows so smoothly and ends up being what you wanted!! Did that make sense?? I wanted to do an altered frame with acrylics, but I didn't have one and didn't feel like driving out to get one, but I had this clipboard sitting on my desk and decided that it would work just as well. I am very pleased the way it came out. The squares on the bottom and the one in the clothes pin are 1" square acrylic pieces from Sparkle N Sprinkle and I stamped on them with my Blossoms to Go. I even made a cut file to cut out the clip on the top of the board and the rounded corners. The monogram was also cut out with my Pazzles.

Butterfly Basket Card

I stampers, thanks for all the wonderful comments from the hop, I have enjoyed reading them all!! Congratulations to the winners!!
I am having so much fun with my Pazzles...when I first started thinking about getting an electronic cutting machine I thought I would end up with a Cricut only because that's what everyone had...but when I heard about the Pazzles and the ability to use your computer with any font and any clip art I decided that was the machine I wanted. I thought I would basically use it for my scrapbooking and not card making, but I am using it more now with my cards and stamping!
This Sunflowers & Butterflies stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle was requested as a Cut File so we made it and then of course I had to test it out, so I colored it and I actually made the button butterfly a cut file also so I could make it dimensional. Then yesterday on the Pazzles Craftroom blog they had this cut sunflower basket cut file so I downloaded that and converted it to a card instead of a basket (actually I made it into a basket as well). The sentiment is from the new Just for You a Stampette Set at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Magical Winter Moments Blog Hop

For my card I used the brand spankin' new Snow Family Stampette set (it's a smaller stamp set and less expensive too!) I stamped with Memento ink and colored with my Copics of course, but then for the snow and details I used Brushable Glue and Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft for the snow and trim on the coats.
I also stamped the snowflakes in the set with Versamark on the background and embossed with Winter White embossing powder.

Feel Better Blossoms

I love the simplicity of today's sketch over on Splitcoast. I have this new stampette set Blossoms to Go over at Sparkle N Sprinkle and I this flower looks like a chrysanthemum so I embossed it with Fall Fiesta Embossing Powder. The paper is actually spring paper, but I cut out the pink and just used the other colors and made it more fall feeling. The seam binding was colored with Copic YG93.

Happy Birthday Aunt Donna

My Dad leaves today for Iowa and he is going to a surprise birthday party for his sister's 80th birthday. So I thought I would make a card for him to take with from me. I made this card using the Try a new Technique challenge on Splitcoast, to Fill the Opening. I created the window with the largest of the Blossoms 3 dies. The bird is a Sizzix die, the leaves are a Spellbinders. When I got done with the card I of course didn't have any thing to put it in so I bought this SVG Box Envelope and adjusted the size to fit my card. I've been having so much fun with my Pazzles Inspiration!! I used it for the 80, the flower, the card box and the sentiment in the bottom of the box.

I added some Guava Nectar Glitter to the rose with Brushable Glue from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

For the inside of the card I used some stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle and embossed them with Satin Velvet Embossing Powder.

Fall Leaves

Hi Stampers,
Back from Creating Keepsakes Expo in Jacksonville. I previewed a new stamp set that I created at the expo and now I get to share it with you...it's called Fall Leaves. I've been wanting a realistic leaves stamp set for quite a few years and finally got it:)

First I started out by making several background papers with the set. For my first card I stamped with Kaleidoscope ink and then brushed over with water to give it a watercolor look. The main image panel is Molten Pearls technique. The seam binding was dyed with Various Ink YG63. For all the details on the card you can look here.

For this second card I used the Faux Bleach technique. You can find all the directions & products used here. And the best thing about this stamp set is that I made a Cut File to go with it so I didn't have to cut out the leaf by hand and it is perfect! I love all the leaves embossed with the Fall Essentials Embossing Powders from Sparkle N Sprinkle.
Sparkle N Sprinkle is now making Cut Files for Electronic Cutting Machines to match our stamps....no more cutting!!!! YEAH!! Be sure to check them all out.

Fall is on it's Way!

Hi Stampers,
Getting ready to head to Jacksonville for the weekend to share at the Creating Keepsakes Convention...if you are in the area come see me:) Here is a card that I started last year! Yes, I said last year....the main panel was done last year and for some reason it did do anything for me and ended up in the stash...then the other day I found it again and the inspiration hit me! The main panel has the Script stamp in the background, then I embossed the Maple Tree from Autumn Swirl in Clear embossing powder then sponged on some inks. I was creating the Cutting Edge files for my Autumn Swirl set last week and thought that they would go nicely with it.
I have been having so much fun playing with the Pazzles Inspiration....check back later and I will share with you a sneak peek at a new fall stamp set I have created and the fun Cutting Edge files to match!!

Ribbons for the Cure Collage

Hi Stampers,
Here is this months Video Kit Club that I made at Sparkle n Sprinkle. I have a couple of friends that are battling breast cancer and a couple more friends that are walking in the Susan Komen Walk for the Cure (they are walking for loved ones that have lost their battle) and I thought that since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month I would offer this kit to raise money for the cure. This months kit includes the entire stamp set and $2.00 from each kit will be donated to the Walk for the Cure. I now that all of my friends would be encouraged with one of these cards.

Shadow Stamping

Good Wednesday Stampers,
It's been a good week and I've had time to play!! YEAH!! I've been playing around with shadow stamping, but instead of doing two different color inks I used an embossing powder the second time. I stamped this Dotted Leaf Border from Sparkle N Sprinkle first with Memento Sand ink, then using the Stamp a ma Jig stamp a little off the first one with Versamark and embossed with Turquoise Nugget embossing powder...I love that color combo! Then for the sentiment I embossed it and cut it out with Spellbinders Grommet Tags...the the ribbon, or white seam binding was colored with Copic marker E37. The brads where embossed with Copper EP to match the copper cording.

The second card is using Large Dark Flower and everything else is pretty much the same:)

Mosaic Snowflakes

Happy Monday Stampers!
I did a quick card this morning with the Try a New Technique over on Splitcoast Stampers. It is Embossed Kisses! Love the name....I used a Mosaic Stamp that I had recently created from another technique challenge on Splitcoast using left over pieces of rubber and an acrylic block.

I inked up the stamp in Memento Summer Sky ink, then inked up the inside of the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder with Paris Dusk and kissed them:) then stamped on white cardstock. Then I used the 2 1/2" Double sided tape from Sparkle N Sprinkle and placed the tape on the panels, after I cut them to size, and then covered the tape with Sparkling Snow glitter, also from SNS.
The image strip is from a stamp "Pengie Let it Snow" from SNS and I glittered it with a glue pen, and for the snow I used Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft.

I also used the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge from last week for my layout.

Flower Medallion

Today I have another card I made using the new Pazzle Inspriation Electronic Cutter...I made this file to fit the 5 layers of this Flower Medallion (but I only used 4 of them) I cut out each layer on a different color cardstock then stamped and embossed each with Gold Detail embossing powder. I used the Stamp a ma Jig to line up the stamp. I can believe how easy the Pazzle made this! It is such a pain to cut out all those layers and the Pazzle did it in seconds!! LOVE IT!!! For my card I chose the Pumpkins stamp, I started by using the new Pazzle Inspriations Electronic Cutter (watch the Sparkle N Sprinkle website for more details) and I created the cut file for the stamp image itself! Then I had fun Zentangling the image, then I had some more fun coloring with my Copics and to finish it off I had to add some glitter with the Glue Pen....I am so happy with the way it came out. My New Love!!

Hi Stampers,
I have been wanting an electronic cutting machine for a while and have decided that I am getting a Pazzle!! I have been playing with the new one at Sparkle N Sprinkle and it is the coolest thing!! No Cartridges!! Everything is done from the computer, so you can use any True Font that is on your computer and you can import any clipart or jpeg and make a cut file from it. I took this Lily stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle and traced it in Make the Cut (another software for electronic cutting machines) then put it in a circle and a plaque shaped background before I cut, then colored with Copics. I love the look of the window. For the background I just cut a white piece of card stock and embossed it with By the Lake Embossing Powder.

Be on the look out at Sparkle N Sprinkle as we introduce the Pazzle and all the many cut files that will now be available with the machine!

I've been playing alot with my Copics lately...just practicing shading:) I love these Christian stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle and will share some more with you that I have colored recently, they are retired stamps but Margaret is bringing them back for a limited time. I am using the acetate templates that come in the Shadows & Shading book from Marianne Walker. The seam binding ribbon is also colored with the Copics.
Coloring is a relaxing activity to do in the evening.

The card says it all! Hello Friends!!
Last week in the store we got a new Pazzle Inspiration Electronic Creative Cutter, WOW is that a mouth full! Anyway it hooks up to your computer, no cartridges, and you can cut whatever your heart desires! So I was just playing around with it and created this card front piece to stamp in. I stamped the poppies and butterflies and colored with Copics. It was a pretty simple card, but I love the effect of the cut out sentiment!

Hi Stampers,
I know it has been quite a while since I posted...we had a lot going on in July...my daughter went to Spain for 2 weeks and my husband and I went to California. Then I came home to the new store opening up and have been real busy with that...I've done a bit of stamping, but not enough!! But I do have some cards to show you...they are for a class that I am teaching at the end of the month.

This is a brand new stamp set "Christmas Penguins" that hasn't been released yet, so you get a sneak peek! The class is focusing on using the Copics for coloring and the Various Inks for the backgrounds. I put the cards all in a plastic box with the label on the front so it can be given as a gift. I can't believe it, but I've actually played along with the Splitcoast Challenges all week! This is the Way to Use It...something old, something new....the image is a very old one but new to me from Sparkle N Sprinkle (if you want this image just leave me a comment and I will get it for you) ...I decided to color it last night, then received an email about an old friend that is having heart trouble, so I thought it appropriate to send and it went along with the challenge. The ribbon is old, the button and background cardstock is new.
I also used my Spellbinders Grand Dies and Grand Calibur....love that machine!

That always brings out the kid in all of us:) Beate from Splitcoast featured a card on her blog today with this technique (she also did a tutorial on Splitcoast) and I had never had a lot of success with the technique and decided I was going to try again. Success this time!!! I don't know what I did before, but this time it was pretty easy!

Since the color was close to the browns I decided to play along with the Color Challenge on Splitcoast as well...so here is my card. I even dyed my own seam binding with the Copic Various Inks! You can find all the details to the card here.

Framed

Had a great weekend at Stampfest and saw a lot of friends!! Thanks for stopping by and saying Hi! This morning on Splitcoast the Try a New Technique is a framed one and here is my take on it.

I started with my Summer Swirl stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle (and it's actually on sale this week!) and stamped with a Kaleidoscope ink pad, I stamped it twice (once for the background and once for the frame). Since I had been using so much Sparkle embossing powder at Stampfest I decided it would look good on this image so I embossed the entire image with it:) Then I cut out the frame using the Spellbinders Labels 3 and the Circles. For the frame I layered it on a larger circle just to give it more strength. I stamped the sentiment with a new stamp set that will be revealed soon called Thoughtful Frames, and I used the Spellbinders Tags to mount it.

One Last Graduation

I had one more graduation card to make this year, this one is for another niece graduating High School. I now it late, but I've had the colored image of the House Mouse on my desk for about a week. I just couldn't bring it together until now. I like to make the cards with their school colors, then I saw the Mojo Sketch last week and knew that was what I wanted to do...I love the strips of color in the background. I colored with Copics, and the sentiments are from Sparkle N Sprinkle and embossed with Christmas Green EP, it's a Cosmic EP, so looks just like the announce that I received from my niece.

Patriotic Collage

Happy Friday Stampers,
This is the first time I've stamped this week and I really needed my creative outlet!! Splitcoasts technique on Wednesday was Direct to Paper and I have been wanting to use my new Patriotic sets as a collage and it all finally came together. I had the idea when I made the stamp set, but for some reason just couldn't get the creative juices flowing, until now, to do it....and I love the results!!
I first started by laying the stamps down on the cardstock where I wanted them, then I lightly traced squares around them where I wanted the different color inks, then I used my Fiskars Stamp Press to pick up all the stamps in positions. I used three Memento inks...Lady Bug, Summer Sky and Desert Sand, I swiped them in different directions and on the one I went back with darker colors and added a bit more ink.
Then I inked up the stamps with Versamark and embossed with Black Detail.

The Way to Use It challenge on Thursday was to paper pierce, so I added some piercing around the blocks also. I distressed the edges and then layered it with dimensional tape on the white card base.

Here is a look at what I did on the inside...I kept the theme going with the DTP and stamped and embossed part of the flag and the sentiment...I really like the way this came out!

This was the third card I made and I had a few oops' with it....do you see my mistakes?? As I always tell the girls in my class in stamping there are no mistakes...only room for embellishments! Well I didn't get the stamps inked well in the center of the collage and I ended up with a blank spot there, so I had these stars laying on my desk and decided to put them to use. The large on I stamped part of the Star Spangled sentiment on and adhered it directly to the collage....I started to do that with the other two stars as well, then decided that I would just use the punch directly on the collage, since it is on the card base with dimensional tape it gave it more depth. I also didn't get the flag inked up far enough down and had a bland spot at the bottom and had to stamp some other verses....but after all was said and done, I am glad I messed up and had to be creative to fix them...I like the end results!!

Never Grow Up

Hi again Stampers and Scrappers!
I actually got a second page done yesterday! My youngest daughter Lexy had posted this YouTube video of this song on Facebook and I have listened to is so many times....it is just so true! So I had to scrap it:) I printed the lyrics to the song and made a title on the computer and used Copics to color it. Again I used my Blossoms stamp set, but this time I used the Daisies and embossed them with Vigorous Violet and Harvest Moon embossing powders. I printed the Facebook text on vellum and included that as well.

Little Moments

Hi Stampers and Scrappers....I love to scrap, but love it even more when I include stamping!! I used the Blossoms stamp set that I designed with the Blossoms 3 Spellbinders Dies and Leaves Dies.

The title and poem where printed on the computer and cut out with the Labels 10 and sponged the edges before taking off the die. The title was colored with Copics.

For the strip in the middle I stamped the 'You brighten my day" stamp three times. I colored the flower with Copics and highlighted with the Copic Opaque White. For my journaling box I just cut the largest of the Blossoms Dies and sponged the edges. The leave was cut out and just swiped with the Pear Tart Memento Ink.

Cherish Each Day

Happy Friday Stampers,
My husband just took us out in the boat this morning and caught a mess of mullet! We had some last week and fried them up and they were so good I couldn't wait to get some more...yum.....good Florida eatin'..fried mullet and grits!!
Anyway, on to the card...I made this last week...I have seen alot of backgrounds colored recently with the pointillism and Copics and wanted to try it...I love the way it came out. The stamps are from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I also highlighted the liles and centers with glitter (of course!). I decided to make a gatefold card. Do you ever get tired of just making the standard card size? I do and have been enjoying changing it up some:)

Memorial Day Thanks

Hi Stampers,
I wanted to make some patriotic cards for today to thank all our service men stationed all over the world...I also want to thank all those that have serviced in the past. Our country is what it is today because of the brave men that have served our country and I feel so blessed to live in this free country.
For the first card I decided to make a clean and simple card using my Patriotic Icons stamp set. I wanted to use the Eagle, so stamped him on Vellum with Versamark and embossed with Black Detail and colored his beak and eye on the backside of the vellum, cut it out then using a glue stick glued him to the embossed circle. Then I embossed the sentiment with Red Apple Embossing Powder. I needed a splash of blue, so I put the ruffle on the side, then used dimensional tape to put the panel on a white card base.

For my second card I had a piece of the double embossed background (I will be sharing a video on this technique in the next week so keep watching) laying on my desk and cut it into little panels. Then I embossed the Statue of Liberty with Turquoise Nugget Embossing Powder and cut it out and adhered it with dimensional tape. The sentiment is from the Patriotic Backgrounds set and was just stamped with blue ink.

Faith Is...

Hi Stampers, This is my card that I started last week and just got to finishing and taking the picture. I was playing along with the Fine Tune...Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast. I love music cards and I love birds...(my sweet husband sent me a voice text this morning of the mocking birds singing out side his office...how thoughtful was that!!) Any way, so I had to play along with the challenge. I started with the collage background with my Music Background stamp and the Treble and Bass Clef, and the MF and sponged the edges...then when I was covering my Rose Creations with Brushable Glue and Sparkling Snow glitter I decided to add some to the background as well.

The bird cage I wanted it to look a bit antiqued so I used Caribbean Embossing Powder on it.

Blinged Phone Cover

Hi Stampers,
Hope you had a great weekend...we had the graduation at my daughters school on Saturday, so now Lexy is officially a senior!
I've had this clear phone case since last summer and I picked clear because I knew I wanted to decorate it and I finally got the inspiration yesterday!
Sparkle N Sprinkle has the new 2 1/2" Double Sided Tape, so I put that on the back side of the case and trimmed around it using the craft knife. Then I peeled off the release paper and punched some butterflies and placed them back on the sticky tape, then cut two wavy strips and placed on the tape. Then I started with Sassy Silver Glitter and rubbed that into the tape, then peeled up the wavy pieces and put down Ocean Serge Glitter, the I peeled up the butterflies and used Blue Lightening. My husband didn't think the glitter would hold up long with all the handling so he had some epoxy that he put on it to seal it.

Not So Macho Masculine Blog Hop

Hi Stampers and welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop, you should have come to my blog from Julie Warner ...I'm so excited about this hop because it features the men in our life, and if you are like me you sometimes struggle with how to make those cards, so hopefully you got a lot of inspiration to get creating those masculine cards!
For mine I chose to use Victory, one of our four motorcycle images. I used Japanese Lacquer Embossing Powder, which is my pick that has been added to the Grand Prize package!!

This is a tri fold card and opens both ways. The red base layer is cut to 4 1/2 x 9 and scored at 3 1/2 and opens to the right and the black smaller card is 3 1/2 x 9 3/4 and scored at 4 1/4 and opens to the left. The image panel is a new technique I've been playing with, I started by inking the Cuttlebug embossing folder Diamond Plate with Versamark on the inside cover, then lay the cardstock inside and run it through the machine. When you take it out cover the cardstock side with the Versamark with the Japanese Lacquer embossing powder and heat, then with orange and yellow dye inks and a dauber rub the white cardstock to color it. Then I cut it down to 3 x 4 (I actually got 2 pieces of this so I can make another card!) For the main image panel I stamped the motorcycle with Versamark and embossed with Japanese Laquer and used the Sand image for pebbles on the ground with a light grey ink, then I cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 2 die and sponged the edges with a gray before I took off the dye. I used a marker to color the flame on the bike. The sentiment is also embossed and adhered with dimensional tape.

The map background was printed on the computer.

For the inside I embossed the sentiment from the Motorcycles stamp set again and used the Tire Tread in black ink. I've had this pattern paper gate fold card laying on my desk for about a month now and finally got to use it! I made the image panel by stamping the Wild Rose from Sparkle N Sprinkle with Memento and coloring with Copics, then Sparkle N Sprinkle just got this 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and it's super tacky, so I wanted to see if it would hold micro beads, so I covered the image with the tape and cut it out with the Curved Rectangle die and then peeled the release paper off and covered it with the beads and they stuck just fine! So that's when I started looking around my desk to see what I could use to make a card out of and I spotted the green pattern paper that I used my new Grand Labels 4 die already cut and just waiting to be used! lol

I picked out some peach cardstock that matched the rose and die cut the next smaller die for the inside and stamped the border and sentiment with green dye ink.

The belly band was made with the same peach cardstock cut to 11 x 1 1/2 and then a green layer of border punch. The seam binding was dyed with Smootch Spritz and Copic Various Inks...it's shimmery IRL.

Fabric Flower

Hi Stampers,
I looked on Splitcoast Friday night and they had a mini Virtual Stamp Night and I thought I would participate, but only ended up getting the first challenge done:) But I was happy that I at least did this one and did something I've been wanting to do....use fabric on my card.....that was the challenge. So I went through some scraps that I had and found this pink polka dot and cut a strip about 2" by 24". Then I put a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet on a scrap of paper and cut out a Circle Nestibilitie about 2" wide. Then for the flower I started in the middle of the circle and twisted the fabric and put it on the adhesive then just kept twisting and going around the circle. Then for the center I just added a button with a glue dot. For the sentiment I used one from the My Rose Garden stamp set and punched it out with a cloud punch.

For the ribbon, I finally got some of the seam binding that's been all over the blogs lately and pulled out about 3 single strands of the binding out of the middle of it to ruffle it, then adhered that to my card. Just love it!!

Administratives Professional Day

My husband asked if I would make him some cards for the secretaries in his office for Administrative Professional Day and this is what I came up with. I've been playing around with the Cuttlebug embossing folders and chalks and loving the soft look you end up with, then to finish it off with a little "sparkle" I covered the whole cardstock with Versamark and embossed with Sparkle Embossing Powder.

Each Thank You medallion is stamped and embossed with a coordinating color of Cosmic Embossing Powder. The first one is Gala Pink, the second one is Satin Velvet, and the third is Madagascar Green Embossing Powder

This last one is my favorite...I actually used the color combo from the Bath & Body new scent of White Citrus, you can see it behind the card in the last photo.

Late Easter Baskets

Hi Stampers,
I know Easter is past now, but I wanted to share the baskets that I made for my family. The top one was my husbands and I used the Grand Labels 11 for that one. The other two were for my girls and I just used a 7 1/2" square pattern paper and scored at 2 1/5 and 5 both ways and made a box, really easy. I stamped the images on Neenah cardstock and colored with Copics, cut them out and layered them on the oval Nesties and stamped the sentiment and added bling. For the handles I just used a border punch on the edges of a 1 1/2 x 12 strip, then put a strip of solid cardstock 1/2" down the middle and tied the ribbon.
We had a great Easter service and pot luck, then spent some family time together.

Bird Song Canvas

There are a lot of people out there doing these multi media canvas' and I've wanted to do one for a long time. I bought the canvas about 6 months ago, but have had a fear to put anything on it. So last week I was again inspired by The Scarlet Lime and decided to put something on the canvas. So I started out by picking out a theme...I love birds and I just got the new Tim Holtz Birds dies, so that was in, then the color...of course green. So I picked out some acrylic paint colors and went with a green and aqua and brushed both colors on overlapping them and streaking them together. Then I took white gesso and used that as my ink to stamp the leaves and music on the background randomly.

I wanted different textures on it, so the birds are cut out of a Coke can. The tree is free hand drawn and cut out of cardstock, the leaves are die cuts of felt. The next was a punch and I just glued several ferns pieces around an oval punch and placed the pearls in it for the eggs.

This is one of my favorite quotes....a bird just sings because it is happy! I love having a song in my heart during the day:)

The flowers are the Rose Creations dies covered with Brushable Glue and Fire Engine Red Glitter, the stems are ribbon. The base is lace with raffia woven through it. The side border is a punch with turquoise cardstock and pearls in the centers.

The music notes are punched out. Then to adhere everything I had a green glittered Mod Podge type glue to put over everything...it kind of muted some of the colors and pulled everything together.
I really enjoyed doing this canvas and am planning on doing another one now!!

Scrapbook Expo

So last week I worked the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando and some friends were attending and asked me to join them, so I got to work in the day and scrap at night! I have been taking pictures of a couples new baby at church and wanted to work on those. So I thought I would share what I did. This first one is using the Crystalized Sugar technique, the Brushable Glue and Sparkling Snow Glitter. I used the Rose Creation Spellbinders and the 3 smallest roses. The heart was free hand drawn on white cardstock and cut out and then I used red-liner tape and put the ribbon down.

This is actually the first page:) I just printed the title on cardstock and colored with Copics and printed her stats on vellum and sponged some ink on. The hearts where glittered. The rest is pretty simple.

This next page the title was printed on cardstock and colored with Copics then glittered, the bird was sponged on the edges and the ribbons were added.

I've really been enjoying scrapping lately...hopefully will get more done soon!!

Caged Bird Song

Hi Stampers,
I am loving the crystallized sugar look of the Brushable Glue and Glitter! Since I made the rose card I have been wanting to make something else. I just got the Tim Holtz die Caged Bird so I used that. I also had to add some more roses to it. A friend of mine is going through some challenges right now and sometimes I feel like I lack words to share, so thought I would encourage her with a song. I picked What Faith Can Do by Kutless and I am sending her this card.
Again for the crusted look I put a heavy coating of Brushable Glue on the cardstock, then covered it in glitter and let it dry. I also used the Music Background for the background and the bird. The sentiment comes from the Music Background stamp set. Here are a couple of close ups.

For the verse on the inside I used and old SU verse.

Sparkly Rose

Hi Stampers,
If you watch Splitcoast Stamper you've probably seen a couple of these Fun Fold cards around, and I love doing fancy fold cards! So last night I made one starting with Gable Green card stock. Then for the pattern paper I stamped and embossed the Spring Branch Background with Spring Willow embossing powder and cut it to cover the front panels. Then for the rose I had the new Rose Creations from Spellbinders sitting on my desk that I hadn't use yet and decided to make a rose. I have to say this is the prettiest of all the flowers I've ever made!! I used all 6 dies for the rose, cutting 2 of the largest and smallest, using my Grand Calibur it was easy to do them all at once. I sponged the edges with pink ink, then used Brushable Glue and Bubblegum glitter on all the pieces. I let the glue dry overnight (since it was late), then this morning I use a bone folder and dry embossing tool to form the shapes of the petals and since the glue for the glitter was put on pretty thick it made the leaves sturdy and hold their shape very well. I also did the same thing for the leaves and used Aqua Marine glitter. The sentiment is from my new Bird Swirl stamp set, then I punched some butterflies out and covered them with the Brushable glue and Sparkling Snow glitter.

Envelope Accordion Scrapbook

Hi Stampers,
This months Video Kit Club at Sparkle N Sprinkle is an Accordion Scrapbook using 6 envelopes and 2 sheets of double sided scrapbook paper. It also includes my new Summer Swirl stamp set with a sample packet of each of the Summer Essential embossing powders. You put it all together and it makes a beautiful scrapbook. I used our pictures from last years Keys Camping Trip.

New Rubbah!!

Today is just full of exciting news!! I have two new stamps sets that are being revealed today over at Sparkle N Sprinkle!! The first one is the 4th set in the seasonal swirls....Summer Swirl....and of the four sets I have to say this is my favorite. I made it to coordinate with the Summer Essentials Embossing Powder set and boy does it just pop with those embossing powder...just look!

This is the first card that I made with the set and I love the batiking of the embossing powders on the solid squares and I think the Martha Stewart punch is great with it also. You can click on the card to view all the details of the card.

The second set that is revealed is the Bird Swirl....I love birds and we didn't have any sets that featured them, so I had to fix that:) I think this set is so versatile in it's use I just love all the swirl. Click on the card for the details. I had fun coloring with my Copics on this one.

And if that's not enough exciting news I got a copy of the June Scrap & Stamp today and if you turn to page 14 you will see a that I am the in the "Designer Spotlight"!!

Tickled Pink

Happy Wednesday Stampers,
I wanted to participate in the New Technique Challenge on Splitcoast Monday, but it got away from me, so this morning I pulled out the first stamp set that I bought, Tickled Pink, that is now retired from SU. I stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Black and colored with my Copics. I also used my new Grand Calibur and Grand Dies. Spellbinders sent all the designers at Sparkle N Sprinkle a Grand Calibur because we are a Preferred Stamp Partner!! I couldn't believe it, that is WAY GENEROUS!! Then I had to get the Grand Dies...so this is my first card with the Grand Dies...I think I will be using them alot...I love the look of the shaped cards!

One Little Word

This is a long post...hope you don't mind:) I found this challenge from Ali Edwards blog and really liked the idea of thinking of one little word. As I thought over my past year I kept coming to "Change". So I decided to make a little album with all the changes that took place in 2010. I also found this wonderful poem as I was looking on line and loved it, so I included it as well.

I used scraps of chipboard that I had and cut it to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and covered it with some retired SU paper. I used the Corner Chomper and sponged all the edges with River Rock or Rose Red and used the Bind it All machine to punch all my holes. Then for the cover I used my Music Label and Music Background to start with.

I used a lot of odds and ends that I had made previously and just stuck in my drawer.

I realized that I didn't take one good picture of my oldest daughter in 2010...I need to do better in 2011.

Here is the poem that I followed throughout the book.

Stain Glass Sympathy

I needed a sympathy card last week and had this set, Stain Glass Rounds, still sitting on my desk from last month's Video Kit Club so decided to use one of the other stamps in the set. This time I stamped on Neenah cardstock and used Black Memento ink and colored with my Copics....I really enjoyed coloring this lily and the pinks. Then I cut it out by hand and covered the top with Versamark Ink and embossed it with Super Thick Clear Embossing Powder, so it's real shiny. I cut out the Lacey Circle Nestibilitie with my "NEW" Grand Calibur and layered the lily with dimensional tape. The sentiment was embossed with Black Detail....the rest is pretty straight forward.

Come back tomorrow to see my "One Little Word" album that I finally finished...It was in the working for a couple of months, but it is finally done and I'm really happy with it.

Our Mother's Day inspired hop is untraditional because we're displaying cards which honor special women in our lives, whether they are Moms or not. We hope you will enjoy these feminine cards, and perhaps create something special for the dear women who regularly and meaningfully touch your life.

For my hop card I created a bouquet of flowers for one of the older women at church that doesn't have any children of her own but has been a mother to many children in Sunday school classes over the years (including my two girls). I used my new Blossoms stamp set and started by embossing a bunch of the Daisy's with Dandy Dandelion embossing powder and cutting them out with the new Spellbinders Blossoms 3 Dies (by the way are in the store now!) The flowers are all attached to a card that pulls out of the pot. You can find all the details of the card here.

Friends & Anniversary

Hi Stampers, Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I did and got a lot of stamping done:) I made these two cards from one I saw on-line....I print their card out but not the name...so my bad...I will from now on write down who I get these ideas from to give proper credit. I just loved the way the embossing folder and the cut outs made the card pop on top of the pattern paper, I adhered the embossed white layer with dimensional tape so it really pops.

I ended up making this one an anniversary card. I also made it a point to decorate all the insides of my cards this weekend.
Here is my second card...I used the Spellbinders dies Flower Creations Three for this one. This time I inked up the embossing folder first before I ran it through the Cuttlebug, then sponged the edges. Then for the inside of the flowers I added the smallest of the flower dies. I think the pearls really set it off too. Friend was embossed with Country Blue Embossing Powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

For the inside of this one I used an old SU verse and embossed it with the Country Blue as well.
Check back tomorrow and I will share peaks at two new stamp sets that I've been working on!! I'm so excited about them both!!! Can't wait to share:)

One Image, Three Ways

Hi Stampers,
I did the Video Kit Club yesterday and ended up with three of the glittered stain glass panels and decided to make it up 3 different ways.

This first one is the one that the Video Kit Club contains and is a sympathy card.

The second one I made as a friendship card by embossing the sentiment with Black Detail.

And my last one is my favorite, although I was in too much of a hurry and wished I would have put a white strip where the sentiment is and stamped it on the white and pulled the ribbon down, but I was tired and rushed it.

I enjoy challenging myself when I see opportunities like this....I don't like to make more than 2 or 3 cards the same before I get tired of it, so this was fun.

Altered Frame

I made a frame for my daughters boyfriend's birthday and she didn't want to give it up because she liked it...so I had to make a second one. I made this one a little more feminine with the Swan Wing Glitter Tinsel on the wings, and I added the dog tag (he always wears his grandfathers). I started by painting the frame with an acrylic grey paint, then painted the sides with black (the two colors he always wears), and dry brushed streaks of black on the front. Then I took my old Artifacts stamp set from SU and inked it up with a teal acrylic paint and stamped them on. For the wings and sword (he sword fights) I used Spellbinders Heraldry dies. Then for the dog tag I used the SU punch then embossed 3 layers of Silver embossing powder, from Sparkle N Sprinkle and then stamped the letters with Versamark again and embossed with Black Detail ep. I outlined the heart frame with buttons from my collections.

Happy Bloomin' Birthday 2

Here is another card using my new Blossoms stamp set. You can order the stamp set now and pre-order the dies that should be in very soon. My first goal was to make a lattice card, but it turned out a bit different. I started cutting out the largest blossom, then using 1/4 strips and making a star with the strips in the middle to make a lattice. Then I embossed the flowers and leaves with various embossing powders and cut them out and layered them on the lattice.

Here is a close up...I dry embossed the outer piece and sponged the edges. For the flower center and to attach them I used brads.

For the inside I cut out the largest blossom again and sponged the edges and then embossed the flower and sentiment.

Umbrella Frenzy

Happy Saturday Stampers!!

Remember my Spring Swirl set that I designed? Well, one of the designers at Sparkle N Sprinkle stayed up tooo late one night with ideas of how to use the umbrella image and I have recreated 3 of her ideas. I did a class on these cards this week and it was a hit for sure! Who woulda thought you could do sooo much with one little stamp!!!

This beautiful butterfly was embossed with Firefly embossing powder which has Glow in the Dark in it! The sentiment was embossed with Midnight Madness. The swirls on the butterfly is Black Ice glitter applied with a Quickie Glue Pen. The butterfly is mounted on dimensionals then on the Lacey Circles Spellbinders Die.

Here is the second card...and I believe my personal favorite, the bra. I used Princess Rose embossing powder for this one and adhered with dimensionals. The lace I found at Hancocks and I think is perfect for this occasion! There are several sentiments that you could use with this card from the Ribbons for the Cure and I embossed it with the Midnight Madness again.

The fish card we made in one of the classes on the cruise. It was a hit, several of the stampers were confused and told me they were making the fish card and not the butterfly card with I handed them the stamp! The fish were created by double embossing, the one on the left was embossed first with Jack O Lantern, then for the stripes you stamp the stem of the Tulip stamp on the umbrealla and emboss again in Ebony Spark. The right fish was embossed with Kiwi ep, then the stripes with By the Lake. Then the umbrellas were cut out and placed on a circle sticker paper and then covered with Waterfall Glitter.

Happy Bloomin' Birthday

Here is another card created with the Blossoms set I designed. I started out with a Versamark Resist on White Glossy cardstock and the Kalidescope ink pad. Then the Try a New Technique last Monday at Splitcoast was to do double embossing - dry and heat....so I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Birthday folder and then brayered Versamark on the raised areas and heat embossed it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. The sentiment is embossed with a Black Detail EP and placed on a cut out flower.

Blossoms

Hi Stampers,
Here is my newest stamp set that I have created called Blossoms! I created it to go with the new Spellbinders Blossoms 3 and Nested Leaves Dies, which are to be out very soon, you can pre order them here if you like. I have created many cards with this set and am anxious to share them all with you. Here is the first card that I created with this set.

I started out with Watermelon and Pool Adirondack dye inks and stamped the Daisy's on the background white cardstock. Then I placed a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet on top of that and removed the cover and covered it with Sparkling Snow Glitter, layered it on a pink cardstock, then on the white cardbase. The Large Daisy on the front was stamped and embossed with White Detail, then cut out with the Blossom Die, the center is something I found on clearance at Walmart. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with Cherry embossing powder. It's such a bright glittery cheerful card.

Glitter Tinsel Blossom

I have one more card to share with you that I made using the wonderful ribbon packet I received from Really Reasonable Ribbon....and I still have alot left to play with!! If you haven't checked into their monthly club it's a really good deal so go check it out!

For today's card I started by weaving a thin ribbon in and out of the lace trim and pulled it and tied it off to make my circle. Then I tied on my button, then to finish the blossom I cut the blossom out of Sticker Paper using the new release Blossoms 3 from Spellbinders, I covered that with Tomato Red Glitter Tinsel and Fire Engine Red glitter and glued the ribbon blossom down with LOTS of Zip Adhesive! For the stem of the flower I used the Dani's Garden and Dani's Swing stamp set and picked the border and sentiment stamping them with Black Stazon and coloring with Copics. For the grass I used a piece of 1/2" Double sided Tearific tape and Pine Green Glitter Tinsel. It was so bright and cheery I decided to make it a Get Well card.

Ribbon Blossoms

You get a sneak peak today too!! The blossom stamps are from a new set that I designed that was released at CHA to match their new Blossoms 3 dies. But it won't be released until March when the dies come in. But for my card today I stamped and embossed the blossom with Log Cabin Embossing Powder, cut them out and adhered them down on my card front. Then I saw this tutorial for these beautiful ribbon blossoms (and of course now I can't find the link! if it is yours let me know and I will give your credit!) and had to use some of the luscious ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon kit!

Musicial Expressions

Here is another card that I made with the pack of beautiful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. This is one of those cards that I had the idea for in my head, but then as I was making the main panel it wasn't turning out like I wanted, so I left it overnight and came back and found inspiration to finish the card and really like the way it turned out!! I wanted to use the Emerging Color technique and I knew I wanted to use the green, but I had originally picked out a pink and brown to go with and didn't like the look of those colors...so I switched to the Not Quite Navy and loved the color combo...then I was looking at the great trim lace that I had and ruffled it on the back using red liner tape. The sentiment was embossed with White Detail embossing powder. I stamped the Music Background for the back piece as well.

So the moral of this card is....even if you don't like how one piece turned out, leave it alone for a day or two and come back and try again!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Welcome to the February Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop. Sparkle N Sprinkle partnered with them and I am so happy to be participating. If you have been following along, you should have hopped here from Donna Maligno's blog. If you haven't, please please please pop over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and hop along. The Design Team from Sparkle N Sprinkle and Really Reasonable Ribbon has created some amazing projects.

Every designer received this wonderful February Ribbon Kit, filled with the perfect trims and ribbons for those cheery Springtime projects. Lots of great pastels to match up with Sparkle N Sprinkle's amazingly beautiful glitters, flocking, stamps and embossing powders.

For my project I was inspired at CHA from all the Prize Ribbons that were around...and I wanted to show off several of the beautiful ribbons I received. I started with a strip of designer paper cut to 1 x 12" and scored it at every 1/4" and then fan folded it. The make a circle out of it and press the center of it down on a 1 1/4 inch circle with lots of glue dots to hold it into place. Next I embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment on a piece of blue cardstock with Hot Pink embossing powder, then punched it out with a 1" circle, layered it on a 1 1/4" circle of pink cardstock then on a Scalloped Circle of Sticker paper, then covered it with Sparkling Snow glitter. Then I adhered all the beautiful ribbons on with red liner tape and assembled my layers. It really wasn't as much work as I thought it would be and I love it.....My daughters birthday is coming up so I will use it for that!

Music Pinwheel

Hi Stampers!
Today I want to share a fun card that I found over on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She made this cute pinwheel card and I had to do it too:) I wanted to use the Music Background stamp, and it seems I always want to go for red and black! So I picked Red Apple Detail and Black Detail...then punched out 4 squares of each using the 1 1/4" punch. Then I cut a 2 5/8 square of Sticker Paper and layed down the music squares alternating the red and black, leaving a 1/4" around the edge, then I covered the showing sticker paper with Fire Engine Red Glitter. I layered the panel on a black 3" square. Then for the main panel I put a strip of 1/2" Double sided Tearific Tape down and covered it with Fire Engine Red Glitter.
The sentiment is embossed with Black Detail.

Happy Easter Flip Card

Happy Rainy Saturday!
I like staying inside and stamping on a rainy day....sure beats the snow that all over!!
I actually made this card a while back and used it in a couple of classes. It was the most popular card in yesterdays class. I think the cute "Peeps" is what did it:) You can find the details of how to cut the card here on the Sparkle N Sprinkle website.

I also made a real fun card today, cut can't show it to you yet. It is for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop on February 13 that I am participating in....so be sure to check back for that!!

Cards for a Cause

Our church has a "Just Do It" class on Wednesday nights and one of the things they wanted to do was make cards and go to a local home to deliver to people that have no family. They asked me if I would help them make the cards and here is what I came up with. There were about 25 in the class, some of them had never stamped before and they were from teenagers to seniors making the cards, so they had to pretty simple. They all really liked them.
The card on the left is from the stamp set Autumn Swirl that I designed. I made it more masculine for the men in the group. The other two cards are old retired SU sets that I still have in my stash.
Everyone really enjoyed making the cards, and more than that it was a success in delivering them...they really appreciated receiving the cards.

My daughter Lexy taught one of the cards to help out.

Spring Thanks

I was at CHA this past weekend and had sooo much fun! It's always fun to see all the new exciting stuff coming out!

I made this card yesterday for my Video Kit Club at Sparkle N Sprinkle. I am really happy with the way it came out and I really like the technique. And of course it's green, so it's even prettier! lol

Embossing on Glass

Wow, what a busy time!! I always think that next week won't be so crazy and I will have more time...yet next week never comes!! We had a very busy weekend. Saturday morning I finally got my Christmas tree down and everything boxed up, now I just need to get it up in the attic...then we hosted a church youth devo with a bon fire...that was fun:)...Then Sunday after church we drove 2 hours to Naples to buy a truck for Jim after looking for about 5 months! Part of me is happy because I finally have my van back and part of me is sad because now Lexy can drive her car to school by herself:( I enjoyed riding with her and talking. But change is good. I've been working on a little album that I will share with you soon, but it is a book about "Change". I did the "One Little Word" challenge from Ali Edwards and my word for last year was change. We also celebrated my oldest daughters 21st birthday last night! I can't believe my baby is 21!!
But for now I just wanted to share with you what I did for my bathroom. I love the air freshners with the oils that you put the bamboo reeds in and I was looking to refill mine and found in Walmart that they have plain jars and different kinds of reeds to put in the jars. I decided to get one and decorate it myself. So I stamped on the glass with Versamark and embossed this magnolia flower with Spring Willow Embossing Powder (both the stamp and EP are from Sparkle N Sprinkle). I think it turned out real nice and I filled it with Jasmine Gardenia scent.

He Has Made Everything

Happy Wednesday Stampers, I guess I've been on an oldies kick...I've been enjoying playing around with my old retired images. This is another one from Sparkle N Sprinkle, so again if you have to have this stamp just send margaret@sparklensprinkle.com and let her know. I've also been busy practicing with my Copics. I just got another set and and working on my blending more. I think the bird came out cut. The branch didn't have any leaves on it and I did use the marker tip to make the leaves, then highlighted them. For the side panel I added a strip of 1/4 Double sided tape, then glittered it with Flesh Glitter.

Here are the colors I used. If you didn't see the blog over at Sparkle N Sprinkle you need to check it out....they are now selling Copic Markers!!! YEAH!!

Baby Jesus

Happy Monday Stampers,
I have been working on my daughter's cards and gifts for her teachers. I decided on using this "Oldie by Goodie" from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I absolutely adore this image of baby Jesus with the lamb...It's a retired image, but that is one of the great things about Margaret at Sparkle N Sprinkle. Even though it's a retired image, she will make it special for you if you ask! She's a real sweetie, so if you want this stamp just email margaret@sparklensprinkle.com and let her know that you want Baby Jesus and we will get it right out to you:)
So I stamped the image on Neenah Classic White cardstock with Memento Black and colored with my Copics. I'm still working on shading, but learning as I go. I then painted on Brushable Glue on the lamb and covered him with Snow White flocking. I then layered it on Kraft cardstock and layered it on the cardfront with dimensional tape. For the patterned paper pieces I cut up a lot of brown and blue scraps into 1" and 2" squares. The button is tied over some raffia with hemp. The Rejoice is from the Ornament Nesties stamp set and stamped in Black also.
For the envelope I used an old SU wheel.

Then for the gift I bought some of the Bath and Body works hand sanitizer and put it in a cello back and topped it with the Kraft cardstock cut out with the Top Note Sizzix die and wheeled it. Then punched out a star and tied a jingle bell with silver cord around a big piece of wire ribbon that I had laying around.
